Emilea began her performance career at the age of 3 at the Pat Barton Dance Studio in Altoona, Iowa. She loved the stage and continued dancing throughout her youth. It wasn’t until auditioning for the production of The Diary of Anne Frank her senior year at Southeast Polk High School that she discovered her passion for acting. She was cast as the title character and loved each second on stage so much that she decided to pursue theatre at the collegiate level.

Emilea received a B.A. in Theatre Arts and Journalism from the University of Iowa.  While there she was in several productions including Strindberg’s Ghost Sonata, Betty’s Summer Vacation and many new works, some  even featured in the University of Iowa New Play Festival.

After graduation, Emilea spent a year in Los Angeles, getting her taste of film and television. Deciding to redirect her focus to theatre, she moved to New York and has since been in numerous productions throughout the city, including an award-winning one-act play: Jumpin’ the Gun, from which she won best supporting actor in the Network One-Act Play Festival. Along with her work on the stage, she has ventured into the medium of film and commercials, completing three independent films in the past year! She resides in New York, actively pursuing work in theatre, film and television.
